MR. SIMON CHEUNG KAI YUEN

Chairman
Mr. Simon Cheung obtained his qualification of BSc (Surveying). He has over 10 years of experience in BIM implementation. Making use of his BIM experience, Mr. Cheung has been dedicated to major BIM projects such as Residential Development of Sha Tin Area 52 Phase 2, Communication and Technology Centre of Jockey Club Development, Tin Shui Wai Hospital, Tseung Kwan O Fire services school and Hong Kong Polytechnic University Innovation Centre. Mr. Cheung obtained the professional certificate of Revit Architecture 2011 authorized by Autodesk and had been utilizing his expertise in BIM training course for companies such as China Resources Construction Limited and mott MacDonald, majoring focusing on areas of Revit Architecture Training and Revit Family Training.

Dr Low has over 40 years working experience in the construction field. The services scope covers all round development stages, including early feasibility studies and planning, consultants and contractors appointments, contracts management and construction of various types of new projects, repairs and maintenance, alterations, additions and improvements, demolition and disposals of existing buildings. Nature of projects handled includes commercial, residential and academic buildings, high risk laboratories, auditorium, hostels and hotel. In the recent years, Dr Low has been promoting IoT applications in facility management, the use of BIM to enable efficient information sharing and communications at various stages of the asset life cycle, and in particular, effective change management for BIM implementations in the construction industry.
MR MICHAEL LEUNG

Mr Michael Leung graduated in BSc (Surveying) and has been working in the quantity surveying industry for over 7 years. He has been involved in different types of projects over the years, including civil engineering and buildings (residential, commercial and industrial) developments in Hong Kong, Macau and Mainland China.
He is currently working on a joint venture residential property development in Kai tak which has incorporated the use of BIM and also obtained Provisional BEAM Plus Platinum rating.
MR MAK,TSZ HO

Mak Tsz Ho is an experienced Assistant Project Director with a strong background in Building Services Engineering. With over a decade of expertise, he specializes in project coordination, design, supply, and installation of various systems including HVAC, electrical, and fire services.
Currently, Mak is involved in the Prince of Wales Hospital project. Prior to this, he has contributed significantly to several projects such as the Temporary Quarantine Facilities Phase 5 & 6 in Penny’s Bay, the construction of the Chinese Medicine Hospital and Government Medicines Testing Institute in Tseung Kwan O, and Hong Kong Infection Control Centre.
Mak is also adept at adopting innovative practices such as BIM & MiMEP, which streamlines the construction process by integrating various trades and disciplines, enhancing efficiency and collaboration.
Nelson Ho

Sr. Nelson Ho is a seasoned Facility Management Expert holding esteemed designations as a Chartered Building Surveyor and Chartered Project Management Surveyor, boasting a rich professional journey spanning over 35 years in Projects and Facilities Management. His career has been adorned with fruitful tenures at distinguished developers, leading consulting firms, and prominent public organizations in Hong Kong. Sr. Ho actively engages with learned societies, notably as the founding director of the Hong Kong Institute of Facility Management and as the President in 2009-2010. Additionally, he established the Hong Kong Chapter of Building Smart International in 2012, serving as the Founding Chairman, with a focus on advancing open protocols and the application of Building Information Modeling (BIM) in the region.
Recognized for his pioneering spirit and penchant for innovation, Sr. Ho has secured numerous accolades throughout his career. Noteworthy achievements include guiding the Hong Kong Science Park FM team to clinch the HKIFM EFMA Grand Award twice, as well as receiving the RICS Property Award and HKIS QPFMA Grand Award in FM during his tenure leading the in-house FM team at HKSTP. His leadership at the Estates Department of HK Academy for Performing Arts resulted in winning the UNESCO Heritage Award for Cultural Heritage with the Bethanie Campus in 2008. Notably, Sr. Ho led his outsourcing FM team at Synergis for HKJC, securing the HKIFM EFMA Grand Award in 2018 for the management of the Tuen Mun Public Riding School.
Currently serving as the Head of Facilities Department at Kadoorie Farm and Botanic Garden, Sr. Ho oversees a comprehensive spectrum of facilities management and operations for KFBG. His responsibilities encompass diverse areas such as building maintenance and operation, project enhancements, slope maintenance across 266 hectares, IT infrastructure, procurement, fleet management, security, cleaning services, staff amenities, and the pioneering construction of sustainable structures at KFBG.
MR. Y Y YIP

Mr. YY Yip is an Authorised Person and a registered professional building surveyor. He is now a Deputy Director of Design Management Department of Henderson China Investment Co. Ltd.
In 2006, he applied to the BIM technology in Henderson Beijing World Financial Center, a world-class office projects, so as to enhance the coordination of the design and construction quality can be compared. BIM project won several awards, He shared case experience in many regions including Singapore, Korea and China.
In 2008, he founded the Hong Kong Institute of Building Information Modelling to as a platform and body to promote the professional development of the BIM industry.
Later in 2012, he then set up the buildingSMART Hong Kong to extend the promotion of BIM to international platform to enhance interaction with worldwide applicator and leader of BIM.
DR CALVIN KEUNG

Dr. Calvin Keung is a quantity surveyor by profession. He is also a CIC-Certified BIM Manager and a BIM researcher in the academic field. His interdisciplinary and collaborative approach to BIM education led to the university's development of an award-winning BIM Lab. CIC recognised Dr. Keung's dedication to BIM and innovative initiatives and elected him as one of the BIMers at the Celebration of BIM Achievements in 2020.
MR. MARCO KWAN TSZ FUNG

Mr Marco Kwan is the Senior BIM Engineer at China State Construction, he has been working in BIM industry since he obtained his bachelor degree in Engineering Physics from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University.
Mr Marco has been involved in great diversity of projects over the years, including Residential Development, Commercial, Industrial, Hospital and Infrastructure.
DR CHE WEI TAO

Dr. Che Weitao is the CEO of Digital Twin Technology Limited and a Assistant Professor of Practice in the Urban Governance and Design Thrust at The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (Guangzhou). He earned his PhD from the Institute of Space and Earth Information Science at The Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2014, specializing in 3D GIS, digital twins, and artificial intelligence. With over a decade of experience in digital twin and 3D GIS research, Dr. Che has led and contributed to numerous projects at the national, provincial, and Hong Kong SAR government levels, gaining deep insights into the development and application of digital twin cities.As an expert for the City Information Modeling (CIM) Think Tank, Dr. Che actively promotes the integration of digital twin and 3D GIS technologies into smart city applications, advancing data visualization and intelligent urban management. His research achievements are widely recognized within the industry and have impacted the modernization of city management and public services. Furthermore, Dr. Che plays a key role in both domestic and international academic exchanges and industry-academic collaborations, continuously driving the innovative application of digital twin technologies across diverse fields and laying a solid foundation for the development of future smart cities.
MR ERIC JIANG

Ir Hao JIANG is currently working as Senior Manager for Industry Development in Construction Industry Council (Statutory Body established by Hong Kong Government). Prior to joining CIC, he was a Research Fellow of the Chinese National Engineering Research Centre for Steel Construction (Hong Kong Branch) in The Hong Kong Polytechnic University.
As a Chartered Engineer, Ir JIANG is also a Corporate Member of the HKIE in Materials Discipline, with more than 14 years of R&D and industry experience in modular integrated construction, high performance materials and construction technology. Ir JIANG had participated in or manage multiple Hong Kong scientific research projects and had participated in multiple key infrastructure or construction projects in Hong Kong. Ir JIANG has various publications/articles/patents and different awards as the co-investigator. And he is also serving as reviewers of international/local journals. Ir JIANG is providing professional serving in different professional association including vice president of ASCE Greater China Section, IOM HK Branch council member, HKIE Materials Division committee member, vice president of Hong Kong Young Scientist Association, and 重庆市青年联合会第六届香港特邀委员、广东省科学技术协会第十届香港特邀委员、深圳前海深港青年梦工场创业导师、香港江苏企业协会特邀代表, to promote exchanges and cooperation between Hong Kong and the Mainland in the fields of construction engineering, innovative technology, youth and professionals, and actively serve the Hong Kong community.
